About Us
The Basingstoke Hindu Society, on behalf of Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, proudly manages Basingstoke Carnival Hall. A cornerstone of the local community. For many years, this cherished venue has provided a welcoming space for countless community groups and events.
Recently, the Hall underwent significant modernisation, the result of a dedicated community campaign to preserve it from demolition. Today, it remains the only public hall of its size in the town centre. Conveniently located, it offers excellent access via bus, rail, and road, along with ample onsite and nearby parking.
Carnival Hall is a versatile venue, perfectly suited for a wide range of events. From private parties and weddings to corporate functions, community meetings, and charitable fundraising events, the space is regularly used for all sorts of gatherings. It also hosts children’s activities, dance and fitness classes, lectures, quiz nights, bridge tournaments, christenings, cultural events and more. In addition, professional touring theatre companies frequently perform at the Hall, adding to its cultural significance in the region.
